Dear Discover 2 Owner

Re: 4x4 Enthusiasts Insurance - with up to 15% discount for Club members.

Adrian Flux Insurance Services are pleased to announce their association with the D2 Boys Club / Landrover Discovery 2 Enthusiasts Club and all those members who enthusiastically support their club.

We are able to offer up to 15% discount on policies for Club Members and would welcome Green Laner's, Modified 4x4's, Classic Land Rover's, Import's, ex-MOD, Q-Plates, 4x4 Response team members, young drivers and convicted drivers .

Why choose Adrian Flux Insurance Services?

For the past 30 years Adrian Flux Insurance Services has developed into the country's leading agent for Specialist Motor Insurance, providing services dedicated to the specific needs of our clients. This enables us to offer all drivers' competitive premiums and excellent service coupled with special discounted rates for Car Club members.

Our ‘specialist’ schemes enable us to provide very competitive premiums and added benefits such as free legal cover and breakdown cover from only £54 for Homestart, and European cover.

Call today on the dedicated Club Freephone number: 0800 089 0035 and mention the D2 Boys Club/Landrover Discovery 2 Enthusiasts Club or visit http://www.adrianflux.co.uk/4x4 for a Landrover Discover 2 insurance quotation.

I tried to get a quote, someone called me from AF and said he would get q quote and would call me back.....that was 10 days ago.

My policy is up for renewal on Monday and still no phone call.

Just called them myself, and they quoted me £560, £300 excess, no breakdown cover!
I asked how comes others on the forum younger than me were getting quotes almost £200 cheaper, I've had no claims, accidents, convictions etc, 10+ years no claims....I asked what was making mine so much more and he could answere....

Waste of time company in my opinion. Hastings Direct offering me a better cover for £380, and I can drop that amount if I go with other companies offering the same cover.

Adrian Flux are a waste of a free phone call.
Hastings Premier policy, 35% cheaper than AF, for a superior policy by far. Match the cover they offered me and I could have brought the price down even further with other insurers.

And the "up to 15%" discount is a marketing ploy just to get their name on the forum. I purposely didn't tell them I was a member on the forum until they quoted me, and when I did mention being a member, surprise, surprise no further discount.

Got my renewal through last week. £667!
That includes the ongoing non fault claim and I've kept my 9 years NCB.

I rang up and said can you do better, they dropped a bit. Mentioned the club discount, they said it was already applied, even though the deal wasn't even agreed when I took up my insurance with them last year, so the discount for members is a con..

However once I'd beaten them down to the lowest quote, I "remebered" I had just bought a blackvue in car camera, which proudly boasts 15% off with Adrian flux!
Got the quote down to £541. It's more than last year, but with more miles, I had 4k limited last year, got 7k this time.

I also asked for a quote for a straight through pipe, came back exactly the same, so I can fit that when I get the car back from the body shop.

Still cheaper than all others from all the compare sites too, and I figured with an ongoing claim, it'll be a lot easier to stay with them anyway.

Its really difficult to judge comparative values across different people as they will be regarded as having different risk leves due to age, experience, accident history, post code, employment etc. I'm also starting to think that different insurers regard those balance of risks differently

On renewal I do always try AF first because of their association with Land Rover. Unfortunately so far they have been at least £200 above the cheapest quote for the same level of cover that I've managed to get through compasison websites. I'm currently paying under £400 fully comp
