I'm currently with Flux. Happy with their service and pricing so far - let's see what happens in Feb 2013 when I renew!

I will never use Sure Term again no matter how cheap they are. When I bought the D2 I arranged cover with them and was told over the phone it was all approved and the paperwork would follow - that was just as I was about to buy the Disco.

Off I went, bought my new Disco 2 and waited for my insurance certificate to come in the post. When it didn't arrive I phoned up and was told that the under writer had refused to insure my vehicle and I was not covered, so for a week I had been driving around WITHOUT insurance and didn't know it because Sure Term hadn't bothered to tell me.

They appeared not to share my annoyance when I phoned up to get this squared away, but barely bothered trying to keep my custom when I told them I didn't want their insurance and I was off to use a more expensive company!

:rolleye:

Thanks for getting the discount,
they are very expensive for me though, nearly double what I ended up paying.
See what happens next renewal

I have had Humphrey insured with them for a few years now, with mods declared and I have just had my renewal through and went onto a price comparison site, got some quotes, phoned em up and they brought the renewal figure down to something sensible.

Trouble with Hastings and the like is they are for ford focus drivers, try claiming for something slightly off piste and you will be out of luck with them.

Happy days all done and no extra charge.

Might be of interest to someone,
AF insurance £650, Widnes postcode
Moved to Liverpool went up to £1250
Renewal came through at £1120
Done a comparison web site and got it down to £870, with AF ???
Then while I was waiting for the renewal to be changed I done another comparison and got it down to £543, WITH AF?????
I double checked the last quote, Recovery, Key protection and my NCD protected with all my MOD's declared.
After snatching the lads hand off and paying the first instalment I asked him what was wrong with the system?
There's an Adrian Flux Direct and a Adrian Flux Insurance, both the same company but AF Direct is on line and can give the best discount and AF Insurance is governed by what the underwriters say.
So it's just saved me nearly £600 to shop around.

Gt my D2 Jan 17th and paid £550 with AXA so called them this week about 4x4'ing insurance and some planned mods and they were like an mate won't touch you... Lolz wtf [119.gif]

So called AF and they have given me exactly same but for £360 and are pretty cool about the planned mods I am doing... As long as let them know which is fair enough.

So with AXA after paying £52 cancellation fee I got back £400 so saved £40 (going towards my steering guard Lolz rather than shoes my girlfriend suggest!?)...

Thanks AF and thanks forum [yuuup.gif]

Well to be fair to em..this mornin I did a compare site quote which beat them by a considerable amount...so rang Flux and they came back at a fiver cheaper than compare site. So happy days. But it does make me wonder why I didn't get that price in the first place.
